Nisabdham gets U' certificate
Abhinaya, the deaf and mute actress — who is winning accolades for her role of a childless mother facing humiliation from the society — in the recently-released Kuttram 23, is back with yet another sensitive subject. Titled Nisabdham, the movie deals with child abuse, and Abhinaya will be seen as a mother of a five-year-old girl.
Debut filmmaker Michael Arun who has worked in many of RB Choudhary’s production ventures says that he was very particular that the subject should be handled with a lot of sensitivity. “I was very careful that I should not sensationalise the idea. But at the same time, it has to be addressed effectively. I wrote the screenplay in such a way that the message is conveyed visually in a proper manner. I took inspirations from real-life incidents and newspaper reports on the issue,” says Michael.
To prove his words, the Censor Board has awarded a clean ‘U’ Certificate for the film and also praised the director for handling the subject efficiently. Newcomer Ajay plays the male lead and Baby Sathanya essays a crucial role around whom the story revolves in this flick.
