Shaam, who’s awaiting the release of Oru Melliya Kodu, has been roped in for a film, directed by IV Parthasarathy. KV Shabareesh, who has been working in film productions of Tamil and Malayalam industries is turning a producer with Kaaviyyan.
Says Shabareesh, “It is a road thriller shot mostly in Las Vegas. An Indian police officer who reaches America has a problem with another Indian there. A Hollywood artiste plays the villain, but we can’t reveal who it is. That’s the suspense.”
He adds, “It is the first South Indian film that is mostly shot in Vegas, other films have had shorter sequences before. The film will also have two Malayali heroines —Athmeeya Rajen who has appeared in movies like Rose Guitarinal and Amoeba, and Sridevi Kumar, a US Malayali.” Produced under the banner of 2M Cinemas, the shooting will start in July, sources tell us.
