After an excellent reception for Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, composer AR Rahman is busy with promising projects such as Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai, Shankar’s 2.0 and the biopic Sachin: A Billion Dreams.
Meanwhile, the 24 music director has completed nine songs for Rajiv Menon’s upcoming film, which has GV Prakash playing the lead. A source close to the team says, “Along with the nine songs, AR Rahman has also completed a few portions of the background music for the film. Since the film is music-based, the songs have been completed even before the shooting commenced, which will start by October-November.”
GV Prakash, who plays a drummer in this yet-to-be-titled movie, has been learning the techniques of drumming. Actor Cheenu Mohan plays GV’s father in this film, which revolves around a musician trying to achieve his goal.
It was also reported that Sai Pallavi has been approached to play the heroine. But, it is still unclear if she has been brought on board yet.
