Rumours of director Gautham Menon playing the villain in an upcoming film starring Atharvaa and Nayanthara, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu is making rounds on social media. However, Ajay denies the news. “I don’t know who started these rumours. I have about 10 actors in my mind and Gautham is one among them. However, we haven’t approached him yet. No one has been confirmed for that part as of now,” he clarifies.
He further adds, “Even before we decide on something, these reports are surfacing. These speculations only spoil the relationships between people.”
As we had reported earlier, protagonists Atharvaa and Nayanthara will not be paired opposite each other in the film. “Atharvaa will have a pair in the film, but we haven’t finalised an actress for the role yet. It will happen soon,” quips Ajay.
The Vettaiyadu Velaiyadu director has played a few cameos and blink-and-miss roles, but is yet to act as a full-fledged character in films.
Earlier, Gautham was supposed to make his acting debut in Malayalam film Jacobinte Swargarajyam. Eventually, the role was given to Ashwin Kumar since Gautham couldn’t act due to date issues.
