I am in a happy phase: Ganesh Venkatraman
Ganesh Venkatraman is now part of a big budget Malayalam film titled My Story, which has Prithviraj and Parvathy in lead roles. The film which revolves around three characters is being helmed by Roshni Dinekar.
“The filmmakers have kept the script and details under wraps. I would say it is a pivotal role that I play. So, when I was inside the Bigg Boss house, the director was very impressed by my character. She waited for almost a month for me to get out of the house, because she wanted only me to play this character,” Ganesh says in a chat with us.
“I finished one long schedule in and around Mysore. Next schedule is happening in January in Portugal,” he adds. However, Malayalam is not a new industry for the actor as he has acted in the film Kandahar. Ganesh played the son of Amitabh Bachchan in the film which was produced by Mohanlal, who also played a lead role in the film.
Bigg Boss has opened so many avenues and channels for him. He asserts, “Not only films. In so many other ways the show has helped me. In the last 45 days, many colleges and schools have invited me to talk on the topics like leadership and motivation. A lot of ad endorsements opportunities have come; suddenly brands feel like ‘he is the correct fit for genuinity and credibility’. I am very happy with the phase I am in right now.”
When asked about what are the films he is looking at in Tamil, he says, “In Tamil, three interesting scripts have come to me. I am taking my own time in setting things up and finalising the scripts, because there are so much of responsibilities when people have poured a lot of love on you. So, I have to reciprocate by choosing the right kind of project.”
