Naachiyaar, the much-awaited film of national award winning filmmaker Bala's direction featuring Jyothika, GV Prakash and newcomer Ivana, was in news when the teaser was released. Apparently Jyothika, who plays a cop, mouthed cuss words in the teaser. GV Prakash will be seen as a slum boy in the role of Kaathu in Naachiyaar, which is promoted as a thriller.
The movie has Ilayaraja as the music composer, but now sources say that there is only one song in the movie. The film may have needed the maestro just for the background score.
However, the makers chose not to hold an audio launch since the film has only one song. Some say they may be wishing to avoid possible embarrassment to the Sivakumar family if people raise an issue over the controversial dialogue. The movie is scheduled for a February 16 release.
