Actor Karthik has made a strong comeback in Kollywood,with his portrayal of a deadly villain in Anegan. Though he is yet to have a release in 2016, he is busy with his own directorial and three movies in his kitty.
The latest development is that the Agni Natchathiram actor has been approached to play a prominent role in Mani Ratnam’s next, featuring Atharvaa in the lead. Sources reveal that he may essay a negative role once again, in this film. Mani Ratnam and Karthik had collaborated thrice in the past — Agni Natchathiram, Mouna Ragam and Raavan — all of which went on to become blockbusters.
Also, reports suggest that this film, titled Ethir Katchi, is touted to be a political thriller. While Mani Ratnam is busy wrapping up, Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari starrer Kaatru Veliyidai, the pre-production of Ethir Katchi is simultaneously progressing at a swift pace. While we had earlier reported that Atharvaa is in talks for the role of the hero, he is yet to sign on the dotted line. Watch this space for more!
