Actor Shaan is a happy man these days. After completing his engineering in Coimbatore, though he was offered good jobs, his passion for cinema drew him to tinsel town. Having proved himself as an antagonist in Nayanthara’s Dora, he is getting good offers now.
The actor says, “After finishing engineering, I was keen to enter the Tamil film industry. As luck would have it, I met director Mithran Jawahar as he was looking out for a guy to play the character of Isha Talwar’s lover in his directorial Meendum Oru Kaadhal Kadhai. But, it was not that easy. He held an audition for a couple of people and chose me for the flick! But even before the film’s release, I got an opportunity to work in Dhanush sir’s Thanga Magan. I played the role of Amy Jackson’s boyfriend. I was noticed in both the films, but Dora consolidated my position.”
His performance in the horror film also fetched him a significant role of a police officer in an untitled bilingual made in Tamil and Hindi. “Debutant Sajosundar, who was impressed with my performance in Dora, has given me this chance. It’s an exciting role and I’m looking forward to it,” he quips. The actor shares that he wants to continue acting as a villain in his movies as it has garnered him wide response in different languages.
