When the title of Vijay’s next film (Mersal) was announced, it went viral within a few minutes! The film, directed by Atlee already created a record as the title Mersal clocked in more than one million mentions on Twitter. While the shooting is still underway, talks about Vijay’s next film has already begun.
As reported earlier, Sun Pictures was the front-runner for producing Vijay’s 62nd film which will be helmed by AR Murugadoss. The latest development is that the deal is almost finalised and the shooting of this venture may commence sometime in October. An official confirmation on the same will be out in the coming months.
AR Murugadoss’s Spyder which is in the last leg of production will hit the theatres coming September and Vijay’s Mersal is slated to release for Deepavali, this October. The actor is expected to take a short break after Mersal and then move on to Vijay 62. This untitled venture will mark the third-time collaboration of the duo after Thuppakki and Kaththi.
