Kurangu Bommai goes to Telugu
Kurangu Bommai starring Bharathiraja and Vidharth, garnered deserving acclaim in Kollywood. The thriller-drama, which was directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, is now going to be remade in Telugu. The remake rights of the film has been sold to S Studios, which will soon make the film in Tollywood, according to the director.
“S Studios which is currently bankrolling GV Prakash-starrer Kupathu Raja will be taking the film to the Telugu audiences,” he says, and adds, “I might not be directing the Telugu version. I think the production house will take care of the cast and crew of the upcoming movie.”
When we asked about the positive response the film has received, Nithilan says, “Yes, it is quite heartening and I am really happy about it. I don’t know how to put it in words.”
Ask him about his other projects, he says, “Talks are going on, but currently I don’t have anything solid. I will soon come up with the official announcement of my next.”
