I will not sound like myself in Kashmora: Karthi
The first-look poster of Kashmora took everyone by surprise because of Karthi’s extreme makeover. However, it is not just the look that is going to awe the audience. Karthi has also created a different voice for one of his three roles in the film. It was a painstaking task, according to him.
In a candid interview, The Paiyaa actor says, “It was quite tough to do the voice for one character. It was because I wasn’t supposed to sound like myself, and it had to be entirely different. We had to plan for it and it was very tiring.”
When asked if Kashmora is the toughest movie in his career, Karthi laughs,
“Career is a big word for me. I have had a very short career so far. I won’t call it toughest but I would say Kashmora was quite straining and demanding.”
Lately, Karthi has been experimenting with his looks in films, but he denies it being a deliberate decision — “I am not a person who believes in changing get-ups for each and every film. The scripts demanded it. For Komban, I had to have a moustache to give a rural look. The same goes for the other films too.”
SR Prabhu, the producer of the upcoming film, is looking forward to the release of the movie. He says, “The post-production of the film will be wrapped up in a month and the dubbing is almost over. The film will hit the screens on Diwali.”
