Akhil Akkineni is all set to start his second film, details of which are slowly emerging.
According to a source, Vamsi Paidipally will be directing the film. The Akkineni family was impressed with Vamsi’s film Oopiri, especially Nagarjuna, who bonded with the director for over two years during the making of the film. “During this time Nagarjuna asked Vamsi to come up with a good script for Akhil, which the director did,” says a source.

Vamsi has already narrated the story to Nagarjuna and Akhil and is now giving final touches to it. After Oopiri releases, Nagarjuna and Vamsi may announce the details of Akhil’s film.
“Akhil’s debut film was a big flop and now Nagarjuna is keen to be involved in the second film. He has thus decided to produce it under his Annapurna banner,” added the source.
