Recently, actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan’s former wife Renu Desai posted one of her interviews on social media. The actress wants to tell the world that it is not right to abuse her, since the divorced couple are still good friends.
“Whenever I share Pawan Kalyan’s picture, I get so many abusive messages. The whole world can post his picture, so why can’t I? We’ve separated for personal reasons, but are still good friends. I’ve known him since the past 17 years and have seen his political journey too. Just as one would post their friend’s picture, I do too. Then why target me? I think these people are randomly expressing their frustration, but their comments don’t affect me,” says Renu Desai.
Desai has lived with Pawan Kalyan for 11 years and their separation was a quiet affair. He comes to see his children often. “We’ve never argued or fought in front of our children,” she reveals.
Renu Desai says that all the stars are professional and they maintain good relations. “Venkatesh garu has come to our house many times. Kalyan garu supported Mahesh Babu garu when he spoke against piracy. When their films release, it is professional competition. All of them maintain cordial relations otherwise,” she says.
Renu says she will continue to post Pawan Kalyan’s pictures in the future too. “He doesn’t have any problem with me posting his pictures so why does anybody else? He has told me not to post our children’s pictures and I respect that. I only do it on occasions like birthdays or festivals. He doesn’t want to expose them on social media at a very young age,” says Renu Desai.
