Drugs case: Actor Tarun Kumar criticises media on Facebook
Hyderabad: Twenty-four hours after he was interrogated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the prohibition and excise department on drug cases, Tollywood actor Tarun Kumar has responded by posting a video message on his Facebook wall. He has criticised the media for putting out sensational news reports against him without knowing the facts.
In the video, he claimed that he was not involved in the drugs case and that he had explained the same to the SIT and enforcement director Akun Sabharwal.
“I have a good impression of and respect for the media as it had promoted me since I was a child artist. The recent news reports claim that I used to stay in Goa for 15 days in a month for drugs and I was having partnership in few pubs, which is not true,” he said in his video message.
“I request the media to write after confirming it. I am against drugs and we should fight against drugs,” he says.
The Telugu film actor said that his upcoming movie Idi Naa Love Story will be releasing after a long gap, and the drugs related news in the media has hurt him.
