This graffiti artist is putting Delhi on Berlin's street in form of art

Kajal Singh might just be an ordinary Delhi girl but her CV not at all ordinary. She is a painter, a hip-hop dancer, a fitness vlogger and one of India’s first female graffiti artists.

Since childhood art classes have been part of her life but she got to know about graffiti much later. Kajal has jammed with various hip-hop groups in Europe.

Her love for Hip-hop led her to graffiti.

"Graffiti is banned in a lot of cities in Europe, which is why artists come up with a secret identity," she told Vagabomb. That's how she came up with her signature Dizy.

Kajal is now part of the underground graffiti scene in these European cities. One can see her name all over the walls of Berlin.

Kajal always starts her work after taking permission.

Most people are happy to give permission because they see my photos and agree that the art will beautify their region. If not, I stick to painting abandoned spaces, which then turn into interaction zones for fellow artists."

People in India are more receptive to street art. It's still very new for them to see a whole wall covered with bright colours, and they don't think of graffiti as a menace the way some other countries do," she says.

It’s just because of her graffiti that you can see a lot more of Delhi on Berlin’s wall. Kajal is popular in the art circuit in both Delhi and Berlin.
