Instagrammers share before and after selfies to reveal how people fake perfection

Instagrammers show how easy it is to manipulate our photos.

Instagram is a platform where people share perfect and flawless photos. It’s a place where all the photos are filtered, styled, edited and it makes you believe that people out there are beautiful than you.

But we often forget about the aforesaid fact when we come across a profile of some stunning model. Guys Instagram is not reality, like everything people fake their photos as well.

Celebrities are not as picture-perfect as they look in their feeds.

Those clear white teeth, blemish-free skin, flawless glow are all work of photo editors.

Now Instagrammers have come together to spread the message about the same and they reveal that how easy it is to fake perfection on Instagram.

They are posting photos that combines an original and edited photo. The photos are edited using apps like FaceTune, Perfect 365 and YouCam Makeup. These posts shows how these results are easily achieved using digital manipulation.

I used to be hooked on this app. A few simple clicks and my face would turn from something I was ashamed of to something... 'perfect'. In fact if you scroll back far enough through my account you'll see me using it pre-bopo days. I want you all to see how easy it is to manipulate an image online. That when you compare yourself to that impossibly beautiful person in your feed, you might not be seeing the real picture. And even if you are, comparison is poison. Someone else's beauty isn't the absence of your own! So NO MORE COMPARISON OKAY? ðŸ˜˜ As for me, I don't see the left side as shameful anymore. I don't believe that every trace of life needs to edited out of my face for it to be beautiful. And I don't believe my face needs to be beautiful to be worthy of being seen. Just another example of how easy it is to manipulate photos on social media! On the left is me, no editing, no filter, no photoshop, nothing. On the right I used FaceTune to smooth my skin, add detail, and make my eyes and lips bigger and my nose smaller. It took me seconds — but THAT IS NOT REAL LIFE! Inspired by the lovely @nourishandeat I downloaded a free version of a face editing app called YouCam Makeup. It's shocking how much you can change your face in such a short amount of time. Side by side you may think it's easy to tell, but if someone is always editing their pictures, you would never know. What you see on the Internet is not always what you would see offline.
