Watch: Dad saves kid from falling out of a roller coaster after seatbelt fails

A father unknowingly captured the chilling moment when he saved his six-year-old son from sure death while they were riding a roller coaster at Wonderland amusement park in the United States. Delbart Latham had taken his son, Kaysen, on the ‘Mouse Trap’ ride and was recording his reactions on his cell phone when the horrifying incident occurred.

The footage shows little Kaysen happy and excited when approaching the big dip on the roller coaster before he suddenly slips from his seat. The apparently terrified child is heard saying ‘My seatbelt!’ even as his quick-thinking father catches hold of him in time. Latham then puts him around his son and holds him firmly in place while reassuring him that everything is fine.

It is quite commendable that the father had remained calm and collected during the nightmarish episode. Latham later posted the video on his Facebook account where it was viewed more than 150,000 times.
