Visakhapatnam: People of Malkapuram found the body of a man in a drainage canal in their area on Wednesday. They informed Malkapuram police station who took out the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Malkapuram circle inspector Ludhar Beera told Deccan Chronicle that the body is of 29-year-old Nukaraju, who is a habitual drinker. He is known for drinking heavily and losing consciousness. It is suspected Nukaraju fell in the drainage canal and died of suffocation.
His body will be handed over to his kin after the post-mortem.
