In a shocking incident, a ten-month-old was sexually assaulted by a 38-year-old labourer in West Delhi’s Vikaspuri area on Friday. The infant was rushed to DDU hospital when the police found her lying at a desolate spot near the construction site of the boundary wall of police lines. The accused has been arrested.
The incident took place on late Friday night when the infant was sleeping with her family in a JJ cluster. The accused allegedly walked into their house and took away the girl and raped her near a desolate spot. Fearing that the infant was dead, the accused fled the spot and also dropped his cell phone at the spot.
The family woke up around 12:15 pm and realised that the girl was missing and alerted their neighbours and informed the police.
