Held my legs down, pressed my belly till foetus came out': 14-yr-old rape victim

Bulandshahr: Recalling the eight hour long suffering, a 14-year-old girl, who was forced to undergo abortion by her rapist’s family, said, “Someone held my legs down and another pressed my belly till the foetus in my womb gave up.” After that she does not remember what happened.

Just a month after the brutal gangrape in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district, a similar incident came to the fore. The incident took place five months ago when the victim was allegedly raped twice by a boy identified as Mohammad Yunus, 20, in Bhaipura village. As per the victim, the accused threatened her not to disclose the incident to anyone.

When she started showing signs of growing belly, her mother got suspicious and took her to a nursing home. It was then revealed that the victim was pregnant. Allegedly the mother of the rapist gave Rs 1000 to the victim to undergo abortion.

According to a report, after the abortion, when the victim gained consciousness, the doctor refused to let the girl’s family take her home as they had not paid full fees for the abortion. It was then that the victim’s brother called the police and the doctor let her go.

After the abortion, her family and locals took the semi-conscious victim to the police station and also carried the foetus in a polythene bag.

Dharmendra Yadav, a police official, said the victim told them that she was raped by a person, who lives in her neighbourhood, five months ago.

"She had an abortion at the nursing home last night. We have the aborted foetus with us and have started the investigation," he said.

The police have registered a case in this regard and have started searching for the accused. The cops have also arrested the nursing home officials for doing the abortion. The state's health department has seized the nursing home.
