Hyderabad: An Intermediate student was found burnt to death at her home under suspicious circumstances in Boduppal area on Thursday, said the Medipally Police.
The deceased’s parents found her body completely burnt when they returned from work on Thursday night.
Police said that K. Soujanya (18), a resident of New Hema Nagar in Boduppal was studying Second Year Intermediate at Andhra Mahila Sabha Junior College at Vidyanagar.
On Thursday, she was home alone while father Mr Sattaiah, a private electrician, and mother, a daily labour, were at work. When they returned at around 7 pm, they found her dead.
“Her body was totally burnt when they reached. The exact reason for the fire is not known. The autopsy report can give the reason,” said Medipally SI S. Venkataiah.
Based on a complaint by Mr Sattaiah, a case of suspicious death has been registered. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
