Nampally police close case by Farooq Hussain against NRI woman

The Nampally police did not find any evidence against the woman.

Hyderabad: The Nampally police did not find any evidence against the woman while investigating the TRS MLC Farooq Hussain abusing an NRI woman, Amtul Wasay case. The MLC lodged a complaint against the woman saying that she trespassed into his house and threatened him. Police are likely to close the case due to lack of evidence.

Meanwhile, they are awaiting the report from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), on the video clips, which shows the MLC abusing the NRI, asking him to vacate her house, which she gave out on rent to the MLC six years ago. A senior investigating official said that after a case was registered against the MLC in Nampally police station, the MLC lodged a counter case against her alleging, she trespassed and intimidated him. “Prima facie, a case was registered based on his complaint, but the charges were not proved because of lack of evidence against the woman. As a result, the case is likely to be closed,” the official said.

He, however, added that the investigation against the MLC is still under progress. “After receiving the FSL report, we can proceed with the investigation,” he said. Earlier, Amtul Wasay had lodged a complaint with the Nampally police station alleging that the MLC shouted at her using foul language and tried to hit her with his slippers.
