Kochi: A minor boy was found dead in a swimming pool of an under-construction house at Amballoor near Mulanthuruthy early Wednesday.
According to police, Neeraj (15), s/o Manoj of Peechinamvelil House, went missing on Tuesday afternoon and failed to return from school. His parents later lodged a complaint with the police who registered a man-missing case.
However, local residents found his body in the swimming pool of an under-construction house.
“Neeraj along with two other children went to the pool on Tuesday noon. He accidentally slipped on the tiles and fell into the pool. His head hit the side of the pool and he lost consciousness. When he failed to respond, the other two friends, around 10 years of age, got scared and ran away. They kept it secret,” police said.
An FIR of unnatural death has been lodged at Mulanthuruthy police station.
