Nellore: A 2013 batch IPS officer, Aishwarya Rastogi took charge as superintendent police of Nellore district on Wednesday.
Stressing that he would pay special attention to prevent illegal activities such as cricket betting, gambling, transportation of sand and red sanders, he said he will not compromise in maintaining law and order in the district.
Speaking to media persons, he said he is aware of growing traffic problems, property offences, chain snatchings and property crime in the district and he would take necessary steps to address the issues.
He invited the public to make use of ‘dial your SP’ programme scheduled every Monday to bring their grievances to his notice.
He said he is available at any time for public service. Inspectors and sub-inspectors of different police stations greeted the SP.
