Hyderabad: Aamir Khan, stranded in Chennai due to Cyclone Michaung's torrential rain, was rescued along with Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal. The actors, trapped for nearly 24 hours, were brought to safety by the fire and rescue department. Aamir had recently moved to Chennai to be with his ailing mother, Zeenat Hussain. Vishnu Vishal shared viral pictures of their rescue on social media, expressing gratitude for the fire and rescue department's prompt assistance. Aamir is currently residing with Vishnu Vishal in Karpakkam.

Chennai faces severe flooding, submerging major areas, including Marina Beach and the Meenambakkam Airport. Cyclone Michaung's impact extends to Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chattisgarh, and Odisha. The northeastern states, Jharkhand, and Bihar anticipate indirect effects with light rainfall, according to Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, Director-General of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

Despite the challenging circumstances, Aamir Khan is gearing up for his upcoming film, "Sitare Zameen Par," with a theme reminiscent of "Taare Zameen Par." The rescue operation showcased the resilience of the community amidst the testing times brought by the cyclone.
