Hyderabad: The state government has declared a holiday for its women staff on March 8 on International Women’s Day. It also announced awards to honour women achievers on March 8 at Lalitha Kala Thoranam. The award comprises a citation and Rs1 lakh cash.
The awards were announced on Saturday in 13 categories. The list of winners: Dr Rama S Melkote (education), Man-nem Saritha Reddy (business-Medak), Kurma Mankubai (social service-Adilabad), Bala Theresa (social service-Warangal), Mogulamma (social service-Mahbubnagar) and others.
