Longest manhunt ever in Telangana comes to an end
Hyderabad: One of the biggest and longest manhunt in Telangana has come to an end with Nayeemuddin’s death. The State Intelligence Bureau had been tracking the gangster and his aides since many years. The cops also tried to track his mobile phone.
The police recently tracked the mobile phones of the gangsters who had called Dichpally ZPTC member's husband Amruthapur Gangad-har and demanded '1 crore. Sources said that Intelligence and police had prior information that Nayeem will be arriving at Millennium Township on Monday morning.
Police said many NBWs are pending against him. He was evading arrest in many cases including the killing of IPS officer K.S. Vyas, former Maoists Konapuri Shambashivudu, Konapuri Ramulu, Belli Lalita and her three cousins, the Nalgonda APCLC president Azam Ali and Pattola Goverdhan Reddy.
There were rumours from 2011 that Nayeem was dead. There were also rumours that Nayeem had left India. However, photos show that he was in TS and had been even attending marriages and get-togethers.
Search on for driver of Nayeem
Police is searching for Nayeemuddin’s driver who escaped during the shootout. Special teams are conducting combing operations to nab other aides who are suspected to be in the village. The police has also detained three people, who are suspected to be aides of Nayeem.
Mahbubnagar police is investigating who the friend Nayeem was going to meet at Millennium Township. The police has not yet identified the driver of the vehicle that was carrying Nayeem.
