Arunachal verdict: Rahul thanks SC for 'explaining democracy' to Modi
New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday targeted Narendra Modi after the Supreme Court verdict on Arunachal Pradesh, saying it explained the meaning of democracy to the Prime Minister.
In a major political victory for the Congress, the top court had restored the ousted Nabam Tuki-led government in the state, bolstering the Gandhi scion to take a dig at Modi.
"Thank you Supreme Court for explaining to the Prime Minister what democracy is," he said in a post on Twitter.

In a blow to BJP and the Centre, the apex court ordered quashing of the Governor's decision to advance the Legislative Assembly session by a month in December last year and terming it as "unconstitutional".

The apex court's verdict paves the way for the dismissed Congress government of Nabam Tuki to return to power and sets aside Governor Jyoti Prasad Rajkhowa's message directing the manner of holding the proceedings of sixth session of the Assembly scheduled from January 14, 2016, to December 16-18, 2015.
