Telangana: Wind power rate falls to Rs 2.64 per unit
The previous low was Rs 3.46 per unit during an auction held in February.
Hyderabad: The tariff for wind power touched the lowest level of Rs 2.64 per unit on Wednesday. This was the price discovered at an auction conducted by the The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) on behalf of the Union ministry of new & renewable energy (MNRE).
The previous low was Rs 3.46 per unit during an auction held in February.
MNRE said the five winners for 1,000 MW included ReNew Power (Haryana) for 250 MW and Orange Sironji (Karnataka) 200 MW (both quoting Rs 2.64 per unit), Inox Wind (Gujarat) for 250 MW projects, Green Infra (Delhi) for 250 MW and Adani Green for 50 MW (all Rs 2.65 per unit).
