YSR Congress is a sinking boat, says Ganta Srinivasa Rao
Visakhapatnam: Terming YSR Congress supremo Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as an actor, HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, on Wednesday, said that the deadline set by Jagan for the resignation of YSRC MPs on April 6 demanding Special Category Status is nothing but a drama and to cheat the people of Andhra Pradesh. Talking to newspersons in Vizag, Mr Rao said Jagan had set several deadlines in the past but he never was committed to his words and that Jagan’s attitude clearly indicated that he wanted to divert people’s attention.
Had the YSRC MPs resigned in 2016, Jagan would have gained sympathy and support from the public but now, people have lost faith in Jagan, Mr Rao said.
The general elections would be in 2019 and there is no meaning to resign just a year before the elections, the minister pointed out. Mr Rao also said that Jagan should have chosen April 1 for his MPs to tender resignation as it was “All Fools’ Day.
Commenting on YSRC’s Navaratna scheme, Mr Rao said it would have to approach Bill Gates for implementing them. Fed up with Jagan’s attitude, 23 YSRC MLAs had joined the TD as they had realised that YSRC is a sinking boat and that Jagan’s padayatra had failed to attract the public, Mr Rao added.
