No dip in swine flu cases in Hyderabad
On October 18, six cases confirmed to be positive from the 100 samples.
Hyderabad: Despite huge fluctuations in the temperature, swine flu cases continue to register in government and private hospitals in the city.
On October 18, six cases confirmed to be positive from the 100 samples that were sent to the laboratory at the Institute of Preventive Medicine.
A senior health officer explained, “It is hot during the day and cold at night which allows the virus to become active and attack people whose are immune compromised.”
“The numbers have reduced from what we saw in August and September but we still find that the vulnerable groups like senior citizens, pregnant women and children have to take more precautions,” he said.”
