Chandrababu Naidu grandson Devansh's Aksharabhyasam performed
Nellore: Nara Devansh, grandson of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and film star Balakrishna, and son of Nara Lokesh and Brahmani, had a grand Aksharabhyasam at the Padmavathi Guesthouse in Tirumala on Sunday.
The event was held in the presence of close relatives and friends of the Nandamuri and Nara families. The family observes the tradition of performing important rituals at Tirumala. Devansh’s Ann-aprasana was held here last year.
Old-timers recalled party patriarch and actor N.T. Rama Rao performing the Aksharabhyasam for Brahmani as her father Balakrishna watched, years ago.
After conclusion of the Aksharabhyasam, Lokesh took his son to the balcony of the guesthouse and showed him to the TD followers waiting outside. Both families later went for Srivari darshan.
Later, Mr Naidu told the media that the Akshara-bhyasam was done with some innovations.
“We wrote Amma (mother), Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati, Anandam (happiness), Aarogyam (health) and Aadayam (wealth) during the ceremony. I want my grandson to serve the state either politically or in any other way,” he said.
“I wanted these six imp-ortant letters to be a landmark inspiration for my grandson and every youth in the state,” he said.
Mr Naidu said he would soon launch a unique programme, Ammaku Vandanam, to enhance moral values and good practices among the youth in the state.
The CM said he was born at the feet of Lord Venkateswara and had ob-served all rituals and traditions without fail. “I have always prayed to Lord Venkateswara and have been successful in every activity. There is a need to protect the holiness of Tirumala and Tirupati and the TTD EO will strive to ensure this,” he said.
