Keezh Pennathur becomes a separate taluk
Thiruvannamalai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Saturday inaugurated Keezh Pennathur taluk, carved out from Thiruvannamalai, through video- conferencing from the Secretariat in Chennai.
The Thiruvannamalai district collector A. Gnana sekaran lit a traditional lamp immediately after the inaugural function in Chennai and distributed sweets to all those present at the function.
In yet another inaugural through video-conferencing, the new panchayat
union office of Keezh Pennathur built at a cost of Rs 2 crore was unveiled.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated an assistant Registrar’s office (Dairy
Development) newly built at a cost of Rs 63 lakh, near the district Collectorate.
The district Co-operative Consumer Marketing Fede ration director Peru malNagar Rajan, Thiruvannamalai MP Ms R.Vana roja, Keezh Pennat hur MLA A.K. Aranga nathan, district panchayat president, M.S.Naina kannu, RDO Uma maheswari and other officials were present on the occasion.
