Lucknow: The Uttarakhand government has decided to name a petrol pump in the Police Lines in Dehradun after Shaktiman, the horse who died earlier this month after being injured in a BJP rally. Uttarakhand director general of Police B.S. Sidhu, on Thursday, laid the foundation stone of a petrol pump at the police lines.
Sources said that the petrol pump will be run by Police Jana Kalyan Samiti Shaktiman, who was part of Uttarakhand mounted police for years, had been kept at the police lines for over a month after suffering injuries at the protest rally.
