Amit Shah meets Hindu sanyasis at government guest house
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Following his meeting with Church leaders on Saturday as part of his three-day state visit, BJP national president Amit Shah held talks with Hindu sanyasis at Thycaud Government Guest House here on Sunday. After the meeting, Santhigiri Mutt organising secretary Gururatnam Gnanatapaswi and Brahmachari Bhargavaram told reporters that their visit was a courtesy call. The meeting discussed prevalent issues being faced by the Hindu community in general. Amit Shah informed the sanyasis that their grievances would be considered favourably.
The 30-minute long meeting was attended by Sivagiri Sreenarayana Dharma Sangham Trust secretary Swami Sandrananda, president Swami Vishudhananda, Aluva Adwaithashram secretary Swami Sivaswaroopananda, Gururatnam Gnan-atapaswi, Pranava Shudh-ananda, Sreeramadasa mission president Swami Brahmapadananda Saraswathi, Brahmachari Bhargavaram, Chinmaya mission Thiruvananthapuram coordinator Brahmachari Dhru-vachaithanya, Sreera-makrishna Mission Thiruvananthapuram chairman Swami Mokshavruthananda, Vazhur Theerthapadha Ashram representative Swami Garudadwajananda Theerthapadhar, Amrithanandamayi Mutt representative Swami Gnanamrithanandapuri, Cherukol Subhanandashram general secretary Swami Geethanandan and trust member Subhanandadas. BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP national general secretary Bhupendra Yadav, BJP MP Nalin Kumar Katil were also present during the meeting.
