Kochi: With the Chief Minister moving the Ernakulam CJM Court with a defamation suit ,the stage is set for the conclusion of the never ending debate on solar scam accused Saritha’s controversial letter.
The CM in his plea has asked the two news channels to produce the visuals of the news and also the controversial letter before the court. With Saritha’s letter being the document relied on by the news channels to broadcast a news item that the CM had sex with Saritha at Cliff House, the news channels or Saritha will be forced to produce the letter before the court, if the court asks.
According to legal sources, whether it is a fake letter or not the news channels will have to produce it before the court. “The news channels aired the news showing the photocopy of the letter so they are bound to produce it if the court passes an order,” a legal source said.
Though Saritha had claimed that she had written a letter when she was in jail she is yet to publish it. Saritha also refused to produce the letter before the Solar Judicial Commission. Saritha challenged an order by the Solar commission seeking to produce the letter and it is pending before the court. Interestingly before the courts, Saritha has always kept silent about her controversial letter.
