K Kavitha takes potshots at TJAC chairman M Kodandaram
Hyderabad: In an indirect dig at TJAC chairman M. Kodandaram, Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha on Wednesday said that those who have retired cannot dictate terms to the TRS government that is toiling hard for all-round development of the state.
Responding to a question by newsmen, Ms Kavitha said that several TRS leaders have been at the forefront of the separate Telangana agitation and were well aware of their responsibilities and need not learn lessons from “such people who have retired from service and have now started agitating on some demands”.
Referring to criticism of the TRS government by CPM leader Tammineni Veerabhadram during his four-month-long padayatra, Ms Kavitha said ‘That particular leader says he knew of the problems of the people after completing 3,000 km. Even if he walks 1 lakh km, he represents a party that opposed Telangana formation and has no right to talk about people’s problems in TS, as the TRS government is performing very well for the last 2.5 years.”
She said it was time the governments of TS and AP work together to resolve pending issues.
The MP pointed out that the TRS had maintained even during separate Telangana agitation that people of both Telugu-speaking states should live like brothers despite bifurcation.
She said the TRS government will support the Special Category Status to AP demand, and added that at the same time, the AP government should cooperate with the TS government in getting the High Court bifurcated.
