Kakinada: Scheduled Caste Corporation chairman and Telugu Desam party official spokesperson Jupudi Prabhakara Rao on Saturday said that as many as 15 more YSRC MLAs in AP are ready to join TD as they are vexed with the attitude of party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Mr Jupudi claimed that Jagan would not be able to send a single member to Rajya Sabha in the present political scenario. He told that Jagan was an immature politician.
Mr Jupudi, who had quit YSRC to join TD, said that Jagan was the only reason for his defeat in elections. He alleged that Jagan was against the interests of Dalits as he did not control his party MLA Roja while the latter was abusing TD’s Dalit MLAs Anitha and others.
Mr Jupudi said that courts cannot take a favourable decision on the suspension of Roja from the Assembly as the House is supreme in taking decisions on such matters. The House has full power to take disciplinary action against the members who violate the rules and regulations, he said.
The Scheduled Caste Corporation chairman said that Jyothula Nehru and others are joining TD because of Jagan’s dictatorial and immature politics. Answering a question about the possibility of Roja joining the TD, he said that the party high command would decide on such matters.
Mr Jupudi said that Chandrababu Naidu allocated Rs 1,090 crore for uplifting Dalits. He said that SC Corporation has chalked out a plan for empowering 20 lakhs Dalit families in the state. He said that polytechnic students would be provided employment opportunities in MNC’s.
