Thiruvananthapuram: CPM Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan on Sunday demanded the CBI to subject the audio conversation of RSS worker E Subeesh to sonography to prove its veracity.
He said at a press conference here that the denial of his confessional statement on the murder of NDF worker Mohammed Fazal was a ploy of the RSS.
"The veracity of the audio could be easily examined by comparing his voice at the press conference with that of the video footage. The claim of Sangh Parivar leaders that there was no ground for confessional statement recorded by the police is absurd," he said.
Mr Jayarajan said that CPM leaders Karayi Chandrasekharan and Karayi Rajan were not even possible to visit home for years owing to the case and CPM was hopeful that their innocence could be proved with the new development.
Mr Jayarajan also said that the police initiated a further probe into G. Pavithran murder case based on the confessional statement of Mr Subeesh. Hence, the same confessional statement should be considered by the CBI for further probe into Fazal case.
