AP CM Seeks Singapore Support For Making Semiconductors
Naidu appealed for partnership between Singapore universities and Andhra Pradesh educational institutions

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has sought the support of Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in developing an ecosystem to manufacture semiconductors and capacity building in Andhra Pradesh.
On Monday, the visiting Chief Minister paid a courtesy call on Wong at his official residence in Singapore. The two leaders discussed various matters for about 30 minutes.
Naidu proposed that Singapore import AP’s horticulture products raised through natural farming as also aqua products, and sought the island nation’s cooperation with regard to semiconductors, quantum technology, AI and research in the state’s universities.
He also sought Singapore’s cooperation in urban governance being taken up in several towns and cities in AP.
Naidu told the PM that AP is considering a proposal for the issue of certification for products raised through natural farming and to take up traceability. He proposed that AP and Singapore jointly develop ports, airports etc.
The Singapore PM enquired about the ongoing construction activities in Amaravati as also the setting up of educational institutions, development of basic amenities and construction of structures with international standards.
Naidu responded by saying that Amaravati would find a place among the most habitable cities and explained about developing basic amenities for public health and population management. He informed Wong that AP was heading towards developing 160 giga watts of green energy.
The two leaders discussed global decline in population, construction of houses, healthcare to infants and children etc.
Later, Naidu met Singapore’s foreign minister Vivian Balakrishnan and discussed strategic partnership between AP and Singapore and also aircraft services and air connectivity between airports in both AP and Singapore. The Chief Minister explained how AP was playing a key role in production of green energy, green ammonia and green hydrogen.
