Safety Team Asks Kothaguda’s Pounder Pizzeteria to Uphold Food Standards

Hyderabad: The food safety wing of Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) asked the management of 10 Pounder Pizzeteria in Kothaguda to maintain regular cleaning schedules and uphold food safety standards.

Instructions were also issued for immediate cleaning and housekeeping improvements. These instructions were issued after noticing dust and cobwebs on certain internal fittings. The bottom section of the freezer required improved cleaning and maintenance, officials said.

During the inspection, the officials observed good practices in the eatery. Food handlers were using hairnets and aprons and proper segregation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items were noticed.

Medical fitness certificates of food handlers were available and no pest infestation observed. Hot water sanitation of utensils was being carried out and raw materials were properly labelled and stored with appropriate wrapping.

The establishment demonstrated a high level of compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, while minor observations have been communicated for further improvement, officials added.
