Virat Kohli signed Team India jersey auctioned for Shahid Afridi Foundation
Mumbai: The strained relation between India and Pakistan has affected bilateral series between the two countries. While fans from both the countries try to prove their superiority, cricketers from both the countries have shared warm relationship on field.
A signed jersey of Virat Kohli was auctioned on Monday and the money raised will be donated to former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi’s charity going by the name of Shahid Afridi Foundation.

The signed jersey was gifted to Afridi after a group stage match between the two teams. The shirt also had a message from the Team India captain, saying, “To Shahid Bhai, best wishes, always a pleasure playing against you.”
The winning bid for the jersey was 4300 Euros which will go to the organisation with a noble mission. The auction took place in the United Kingdom where a dinner was organised by the Shahid Afridi Foundation. Shahid Afridi himself was present during the auction.

The jersey was signed by all the Indian players, namely Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Ashish Nehra, Jasprit Bumrah, Suresh Raina, Pawan Negi, Mohammed Shami, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, R Ashwin and Hardik Pandya. Head coach Ravi Shastri also put in his signature.
