Mirpur: Pakistan T20I skipper Shahid Afridi is being slammed from all corners after his team lost to arch-rivals India, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, here on Saturday. Fans in Karachi who watched the match on giant screens were left angry and they burnt Afridi’s effigies.
Afridi, who once had a huge female fan following, is slowly fading into oblivion. Why?
Pakistani television actress Qandeel Baloch criticised the 35-year-old with a harsh comment.
“What did I tell you. Jab tak yeah pagal Afridi kaptan rahay ga tab tak team ka kuch nai honay wala. It's world cup soon and this is the condition of our cricket team. Shame. Boo,” she wrote on Twitter.
