Ex-BCCI prez Anurag Thakur sends unconditional apology in SC
The Supreme Court had started proceedings against Anurag Thakur for filing a false affidavit in court.
New Delhi: Ex-Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief Anurag Thakur has tenered a fresh unconditional apology to the Supreme Court, after a contempt case was filed against him, earlier this year.
Thakur, who was ousted from his post in the Indian cricket board, has been out of cricket administration for a few quite a few months now.
However, the apex court, headed by a bench comprising of Justices Dipak Misra, A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud had started proceedings against the former BCCI president for filing a false affidavit in court, regarding his letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) on the issue of autonomy. Thakur was also slapped with a perjury case.
