Video| No worries ahead of ICC World Twenty20: Dhoni
Mumbai: India limited-over skipper MS Dhoni said the Indian team has done well in many tournaments in the T20 format and there should not be worries going into the ICC World Twenty20.
Team India did lose the series to South Africa at home in 2015 but Dhoni believes the unit is decent, performed well over the years.
“It is not like we are not playing good cricket apart from one T20 World Cup where we did not perform too well. Otherwise, we have been decent,” he said.
India lost to Sri Lanka in the ICC World Twenty20 final in 2014.
Dhoni also said that the players can be expressive in the shortest format and there is less pressure.
“They can play a few deliveries and then go for the big shots. It is one format where one can be expressive. I don’t think we lack anywhere, the conditions do play a part too,” he said.
“There are few T20 tournaments where we have done well, reached the finals but could not win it,” he agreed.
