Mumbai: India cricketer Parthiv Patel sprang out of nowhere on Monday. As soon as the announcement came of him joining the Indian cricket team as MS Dhoni’s back-up, he broke the internet.
The 30-year-old cricketer is being trolled for his boyish looks. He made his international debut at 17 and still doesn’t look old.
“Normal Cricketers try to be consistent with their form. Parthiv Patel focuses on sustaining his childhood,” read one tweet on social media.
Another one read: “Fearing the agitation from Hardik Patel for reservation BCCI decides to call up Parthiv Patel.”

Replacing Dhoni with Parthiv Patel is like replacing chocolate items with Vanilla ones in an icecream parlour.

Bt if #Dhoni retires with Parthiv Patel our best choice
We'd rather have Subrata Pal as keeper
Nonetheless, Parthiv — who made his debut under Sourav Ganguly in 2002 – is an old victim of such harassment.
Once he was bullied by MTV - a popular television channel - in one of their shows 'MTV Bakra'.
The act was staged tactfully with false cops and drivers.
Parthiv was made to drive, and then, harassed by cops for license and official papers.
Later, the poor guy had to justify that he had turned 18 and had to do sit ups for allegedly committing a crime – of driving in a different state.
