Twitter reacts to India's series win, Kedar Jadhav's brilliance
Mumbai: India lost their first game against England on the visiting team’s tour of India. The hosts lost the third and final one-day international to England by five runs in Kolkata. India still won the series 2-1 and the two teams will now meet in the upcoming three-match T20I series.
Captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bowl first. England openers gave the team a good start and half-centuries by Jonny Biarstow, Ben Stokes and valuable innings by Eoin Morgan and Chris Woakes helped England post a steep target of 322.
In response, India lost both the openers early on. Kohli and Yuvraj Singh steadied the innings but after they were dismissed, the responsibility fell on the shoulders of the newcomers Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya. Both the batsmen showed a lot of resilience but failed to take India to a win.
Here’s how twitter reacted to India’s series over England and Jadhav’s brilliance, after the batsman played a knock of 90 runs off 75 balls to take India to within touching distance of the target.
