Police say I had a great night: Ravindra Jadeja's Instagram photo sparks controversy
Mumbai: Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja always manages to be in the news, despite being out of cricketing action for the past few months. The Saurashtra cricketer has been enjoying an active life on social media and rarely shies away from expressing his thoughts, even if they are meant to be daring.
Jadeja took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself on Monday. Jadeja posted a message with the photo, saying: “royalnavghanHad a really great "Night Out" last night, according to my police report.#rajputboy.”
This is not the first that that the all-rounder has come under the scanner. Previously, Jadeja posted several photos on social media of him and his wife posing with endangered Asiatic lions that resulted in a probe by the forestry officials.
Jadeja, who was called in as a replacement for injured Axar Patel for the first three India versus Australia ODIs, did not feature in any of the matches for Virat Kohli’s side.
The Men in Blue so far have coped well without the services of Jadeja, with young leg spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal impressing with the ball, sharing a total of 13 wickets among themselves in the 3 ODIs.
As Axar Patel is deemed fit to play again, he has replaced his state counterpart once again for the remaining 2 matches.
Jadeja last featured for Kohli’s side during India’s Test tour of Sri Lanka in July, where he emerged as the second highest wicket-taker in the series with 17 scalps to his name.
