Chris Gayle drinks and dines with Amitabh Bachchan
Mumbai: Indian movie star Amitabh Bachchan has lately taken an interest in cricket. He travelled to Kolkata to sing the national anthem during the Group 2, Super 10 of the ICC World Twenty20 between India and Pakistan. Recently, he invited West Indies star Chris Gayle to his residence.
Former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff apparently didn’t have an idea about Bachchan’s stardom but Gayle is not able to stop his praises for the legend.

According to his Instagram post, Bachchan gifted him books and treated him to food and wine.
Gayle said that the Bollywood legend wants him to score a century against India but at the same time, doesn’t want West Indies to win the semifinal.
The Jamaican believes he can do without a hundred; his team’s victory means much more.
Earlier, the Caribbean gifted his Spartan bat (autographed) to the superstar of the Indian film industry. The 73-year-old was surprised that Gayle knows him.

“Mr Chris Gayle...what an honour…I never knew you would know me… so humbled …we are all great fans of yours !” Bachchan had tweeted.
However, Bachchan had apologised to Gayle for not making it to the stadium during his brilliant ton against England. The duo finally caught up.
