Sunderland footballer signs sexual offenders' register, could face 18 months in prison.

Sunderland: Sunderland footballer Adam Johnson has pleaded guilty at Bradford Crown Court to an incident of sexual activity and grooming with a child.

The footballer was dragged to court after allegations of sexual doings with a 16-year-old girl.

The England national team winger, however, has denied two charges of sexual activity with the girl and previously, three counts with a child.

Johnson began his career at Middlesbrough and then played for Manchester City (2010-12) before joining Sunderland for £10 million. He scored 11 goals for City, 18 for Sunderland so far.

Nonetheless, he was forced to sign the sex offenders’ register and based on the guidelines, he could face 18 months in prison for kissing, touching the victim inappropriately.
